Lori Jean Levy's journey in the olive oil sector is both diverse and inspiring. Beginning her career as a lawyer specializing in international trade and customs, she became a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, adeptly managing the complexities of importing goods into the United States. In 2010, she transitioned to Fairway Market as the Director of Trade and Product Development. This role immersed her in the global sourcing of oils, vinegars, and specialty imports, igniting her deep passion for olive oil.

Building on this passion, Levy founded My Global Table in 2014, a specialty food importer focusing predominantly on olive oil. Through this venture, she collaborates with international producers aiming to introduce their products to the U.S. market and assists U.S. retailers in sourcing premium imported products or developing private label programs. Notably, she curated a private label collection for Garafalo Markets, encompassing Greek, Sicilian, and South African olive oil blends.

In addition to her business endeavors, Levy is committed to consumer education. She launched Portfolio, a platform designed not only as a storefront but also as a reliable source of information about olive oil. Through Portfolio, she shares her extensive industry knowledge, aiming to bridge the gap between consumers and high-quality olive oil producers.

Levy's expertise is further recognized through her role as a judge for the US International Olive Oil Competition, where she evaluates a diverse range of olive oils, underscoring her standing in the industry.
