    Harvest Information

    Harvest: Fall 2024

    Cold-Pressed • Small Batch • Affordable Gourmet

Hand-picked Koroneiki olives, Ionian sea breezes, and one white bottle that guards the liquid gold inside—LIÁ is Messinia in its purest, most delicious form. Cristina Stribacu, her husband Demetrios, and brother Constantine bring tremendous pride to their family's heritage in the expression of love and commitment that is LIÁ EVOO.

Here in Messinia, artistry meets culture and tradition. Koroneiki olives are hand-harvested and make it to the mill within hours. Produced in small batches and sealed in either opaque glass or tin, the oil is protected from light. Cristina has an exquisite eye for art and a deep love of teaching about olive oil. Reclaiming her place in a line of farmers and helping to grow the family business has been a dream come true for her.

LIÁ Extra Virgin Olive Oil offers a delicate to medium flavor profile, making it smooth, fruity, and balanced—never overpowering. IThe first aromas to hit your nose are of freshly mown grass, herbs, wild flowers, and green banana. There is that notable peppery, finish that lingers long enough to remind you why this is a special olive oil. The low acidity and cold extraction process preserve the oil’s natural harmony, making it approachable for everyday use, yet sophisticated enough for gourmet applications. It is a winner that elevates all it annoints. Pour with reckless abandon.

Thanks to its smooth and balanced character, LIÁ shines across a variety of dishes:

    • Fresh Salads – Greek, Caprese, or citrus-based
    • Grilled Seafood – Sea bass, shrimp, or octopus
    • Cheese Boards – Feta, burrata, or goat cheese
    • Bread & Dips – As a dipping oil with sourdough or alongside hummus
    • Pasta & Risotto – Finishing touch on lemon spaghetti or mushroom risotto
    • Eggs & Veggies – Drizzle on poached eggs or roasted asparagus
    • Desserts – Yes, even on olive oil cake or Greek yogurt with honey

LIÁ is produced on a family-run estate in Filiatra, Messinia, located in the sun-drenched southwest region of Greece, near Mount Egaleo and kissed by the breezes of the Ionian Sea. This land, steeped in myth and history, once belonged to the ancient kingdom of Nestor. Today, it’s home to olive groves carefully tended by generations of passionate cultivators.

The estate combines ancestral wisdom with modern cold-pressing techniques, using only handpicked olives and sustainable farming practices. From soil to bottle, every step is done with ethos, authenticity, and a deep respect for nature. The result is a product that reflects both purity and precision, capturing the very essence of Greek terroir.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely both! While LIÁ shines as a finishing oil, it holds up well for sautéing and roasting thanks to its low acidity and stable composition.

Shelf life is 12–24 months when stored in a cool, dark place. The white bottle protects the oil from light to maintain freshness longer.
